DIGI-BLEND™ precisely controls the blending of virgin and recycle materials to obtain exact job specifications of the produced asphalt mix. The system controls start/stop and rate for both liquid asphalt and recycled material based on virgin aggregate flow. It provides full automatic or true manual (backup) operation which is totally independent of the electronics. DIGI-BLEND™ is compatible with plants having liquid asphalt meters that provide industry standard 1000 PPG (pulse per gallon) output and belt scales that have industry standard milli-amp outputs (4-20 or 0-20 ma). DIGI-BLEND™ has single control board design which provides control functions usually handled by multiple circuit boards in other systems. The single control board’s visual display features help a qualified plant electrician determine if the system is operating satisfactorily and provides clues as to what other equipment may have caused plant malfunction. DIGI-BLEND™ design concept also eliminates the requirement of a factory trained technician to recalibrate the control board when a plant is moved to a new location or if replacement is ever required. DIGI-BLEND™ includes pre-wired operator panel, control electronics and complete true manual backup.
